HANDS TO BE REMEMBERED

SUMMARY
>All in all this was NOT what I expected from the first day of playing
>After having played first 200 hands I was already up +5BI
>Have been 4-tabling
>Not so many difficult/problematic decisions to make
>Almost +3BI won playing PLO [which is always nice]

(I guess I can say that was a VERY good start, although I only made it to the one-third of my planned number of hands. Right now I'm starting to think that maybe I should restructure the challenge and lower the minimum number of hands to like 1,5k and higher up the limit of winnings to 5BI, LOL.
But I don't know if that's a good idea. I'll try and see how much more hands I will be able to play daily.)

Anyways, as they say - the first pancake has been spoiled :-)

Thanks to all the people out there on LP, I really appreciated your comments guys and promise to be more thorough next time with the briefing.

Take care, read you tomorrow.

Day 1 - 'challenge accepted'

I always get tongue-tied whenever I begin something, especially something-to-be-published. I don't even know whom to address this message.

Let's just assume I dedicate this whole thing to myself.

[Who am I?]
I'm 24, I live in Poland.
I've been playing poker for..well, it's hard to make a good estimate 'cause the timespan between the moment I learned the rules and the time I actually began to play and not just waste free bankrolls for nothing is frankly quite big [LOL]. Not that I think that highly of myself right now, I do realise there's tons of hours to be spent on learning, but at one point -
I just realised I'll never improve my style and philosophy of play if I don't start to impose some kind of.. restrictions, one would say, on myself. Or rather - employ some kind of a hypothetical supervisor who could make me control my game more and also engage in some in-depth analysis of recently played sessions.

Let's just assume, this blog is meant to be something like that. A watcher.

I came up with this idea quite a while ago, but today I thought that if not today, then I'll probably never find enough courage, or strength, to do this.

The case is simple.

[What's it all about?]
I made up a challenge which I'll try to sum up in a few sentences.
-The challenge is to play at least 45,000 hands within the next 15-days period [c.a. 3,000 hands per day]
-Tables played : 0.1/0.2 NLHE, later 0.2/0.5 NLHE [OPTIONALLY 0.1/0.2 PLO]
-NO ZOOMS
-AT LEAST 1 tournament [or sng], with the maximum buy-in of $2.50
-The required minimum winnings balance should be AT LEAST +3BI per day
-Out of every $15 won, $5 shall be converted into Euros immediately - these funds will stay 'frozen' and will serve as an emergency backup
-I am required to withdraw from playing whenever I lose maximum -2BI
-[if the above said scenario happens I am expected to make up for the losses withing maximum 2 days period]
-Watch AT LEAST 1 poker video per day - can be High Stakes Poker old series, Pokerstrategy.com videos etc.; visit liquidpoker.net daily

If a perfect case scenario comes to life, by the end of February I should be about +$200 and will probably start grinding NLHE10.

The idea is to keep this blog/diary updated on a daily basis.
At the end of every day a summary will be posted.

Also, the most notable, or problematic hands will be posted for further analysis.

TL;DR
-coming up with an idea of setting up a challenge for myself
-keeping the blog updated DAILY [for motivational purposes]
-playing low stakes NLHE and PLO, no zooms
-posting summaries and interesting hands
-...win?

Read you later.
